Locality: Russian Federation, Irkutskaya oblast', Irkutsky District, Bukhta Peschanaya ("Sandy Bay")--a Vacation settlement--on Lake Baikal, at the base of the Primorskii Range, ca. 90 km NE of mouth of Angara River.

Habitat: Sunny, arid, SE-facing steep slope of bare windblown dune sands, gravel, scree fields, and rock outcrops of decomposing "granite',' with bare soil steppe and "desert" vegetation of Oxytropis (coeruleus?), Festuca, Carex monosperma, Phlojodicarpus popovii, Alyssum obovatum, Chamaerhodos grandiflora, Ephedra, Scrophularia incisa, Thymus serpyllum, Orostachys spinosa, Polygonatum officinale, Rhaponticum uniflorum.
Occurrence Remarks: South Central SIBERIA (Region of LAKE BAIKAL); Note: This area is a designated "zakaznik," i.e., a nature reserve where limited economic use is allowed provided it is carefully controlled and is not injurious to its special scientific features.)
