Habitat:
Sunny, arid, SE-facing steep slope of bare windblown dune sands, gravel, scree fields, and rock outcrops of decomposing "granite',' with bare soil steppe and "desert" vegetation of Oxytropis (coeruleus?), Festuca, Carex monosperma, Phlojodicarpus popovii, Alyssum obovatum, Chamaerhodos grandiflora, Ephedra, Scrophularia incisa, Thymus serpyllum, Orostachys spinosa, Polygonatum officinale, Rhaponticum uniflorum.
