Habitat:
Nearly pure dense stand of Pinus sylvestris, 1-2 dm in diam (50 years old), with scattered 6 dm Pinus specimen trees and few Betula pendula, thinned of all saplings, therefore with completely open pine needle floor with next to no understory. With Chimaphila umbellata, Polygonatum officinale, Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Solidago virgaurea (dahurica), Pyrola secunda.
