Habitat:
pebble/stone field under a snow bank, in wet situation (between small streams); on pebble/small stones (abundant).
Occurrence Remarks:
Lichenotheca Graecensis #195-; 1 shows the strongly reticulate lower surface of a huge thallus (15 cm in diam., GZU). Spores 23-25 x 7.5-9 pm, p.p. with distinct perispore, thallus 0.5-0.7 mm thick (partly intermixed with a thinner lobed Dermatocarpon with 0.3-0.4 mm thick thalli). The large spores and the almost black colour of the lower surface are diagnostic for D. rivulorum, whereas the very thick thallus is diagnostic for D. arnoldianum.
