Habitat: coastal scrub community (Aesculus californica, Jatropha, Lycium), post-batholitic marine sedimentary rocks, Rosario group of Upper Cretaceous origin; small pebbles lying on the ground
Occurrence Remarks: Inhaltsstoffe: Alectoronsäure (major), Psoromsäure (major), Atranorin (minor), Chloroatranorin (trace), a-Collatolsäure (trace) und Physodsäure (trace) anal.: J. Elix (TLC und HPLC); Thallus saxicolus, crustaceus, albido-cretaccus, crassus, continuus, areolatus, areolls angulatis, centro 0,5 - 1 mm latis, in margine usque ad 1,5 mm latis, sublobatis; prothallo nigro cinctus. Apothecia sessilia, mox alte elevata et stipitata, 1-5 mm lata, basin versus constricta, disco plano vel concavo, demum leviter convexo, atro, nudo, margine thallino crasso, flexuoso et crenulato, thallo concolore cincta. - Ascosporae late ellipsoideae vel globosae, 7 - 13 x 5 - 8/¿m. Pycnoconidia 10 x 1 ¡xm. Species nova thallo cretaceo, apotheciis latis et stipitatis et materiis chemicis satis distincta. Haec species dedicata est cl.
