Locality:
United States, Louisiana, Saint Charles, [no precise locality]
Habitat:
Taxodium - swamp; on leaves of Sabal minor (Arecaceae).
Occurrence Remarks:
Annot.: C. subcoerulescens is often considered to occur only in Australasia, but the present specimens and other collections from the Neotropis are not separable. Sérusiaux [Bryologist 82: 92 (1979)] thinks the species to be synonymous with C. puiggctrii. Here, both taxa seem to be well distinguished by their apothecial and hypothecial colour.
