Occurrence Remarks:
Annot.: This taxon is often considered as a synonym of the morphologically highly variable Byssoloma leucoblepharum (Nyl.) Vain. [Lucking, R., Lichenes Foliicoli Exsiccati, Fasc. II, no. 30 (1993)], but in the present case and also in the following one, both forms have been found growing together on the same leaves and being well distinguished (Byssoloma leucoblepharum: thallus dark greyish green, smooth, apothecia light brown; Byssoloma chlorinum: thallus light green, farinose, often reduced, apothecia blackish brown to black).
