Habitat: In coastal rain forest with associated blanket bogs. Dominant plants are Chamaecyparis nootkatensis, Tsuga mertensiana, Gaultheria shallon, and Cornus unalaschkensis, with scattered Alnus sinuata trees. Blanket bog with Sphagnum papillosum, S. lindbergii, S. tenellum and Siphula ceritites
