Habitat: In coastal rain forest and blanket bog near shore of lake and along lake edge. Dominant vegetation of Chamaecyparis nootkatensis, Blechnum spicant, Cornus unalaschkensis, Gaultheria shalon, Linnaea borealis. And Tsuga mertensiana. Sphagnum papillosum, S. tenellum, & Siphula ceratites dominant in bogs, with abundant epiphytes on both conifers and angiosperms
