Habitat: In coastal rain forest and associated blanket bogs, over rolling, mountainous terraine. Abundant granitic rock outcrops present at the higher elevations with numerous seeps and wet depressions
Associated Species: Dominant species are Chamaecyparis nootkatensis and Tsuga mertensiana. Bryophytes present are Herbertus sakuraii. Takakia lepidozioides and Pleurozia purpurea.
