Habitat: A few plants intermingled in thick mound of Thuidium erectum over rotting tree base. Good quality dense closed stand of swamp conifer forest (Larix laricina-Picea mariana) w/ many bog shrubs (Aronia, Ilex, Alnus, Ericaceae) & acid bog plants (orchids, sedges, Smi-lacina trifolia, Drosera rotundifolia); Sphagnum capillifolium the ground cover dominant. Appears like a n. bog in a relatively s. loc.
