Habitat: Pocket of hardwood swamp in very shallow, vegetation-filled, spring-fed depression w/ flowing water. Fraxinus nigra locally dominant, embedded w/in extensive Acer rubrum-Pinus strobus swamp; On rotting wood of downed log
Associated Species: w/ Symplocarpus foetidus (aspect dominant), Carex crinita, C. grayi, C. intumescens, Glyceria striata, Impatiem capensis, Hydrocotyle americana, Leersia oryzoides, Persicaria sagittata, & Scutellaria lateriflora.
Occurrence Remarks: w/ Botanical Club of Wisconsin field trip. [possibly in Jackson Co.]; Forming a little cushion in very shallow water, in which was rooted Viola blanda (no. 15771)
