Habitat: Forming low, mound-like carpet in watery track through Acer rubrum-Pinus strobus swamp w/ abundant mosses, ferns, & sedges. Slightly hummocky, springy peaty ground w/ wet depressions, drainage ways, & streamlets.
Associated Species: (Carex lacustris locally dominant, C. debilis, C. deflexa, C. echinata, C. grayi, C. lacustris, C. strict a), Alnus incana subsp. rugosa, Aronia melanocarpa, Ilex verticillata, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Rubus hispidus, R. setosus, Scutellaria lateriflora, Symplocarpus foetidus, & Spiraea tomentosa
Occurrence Remarks: w/ Botanical Club of Wisconsin field trip. [possibly in Jackson Co.]
