Locality: Peru, Apurimac, Prov. Abancay. At km 18 from Abancay on Cuzco road, ca 6 km. NNW (by air).
Elevation: 3050 meters (10004ft)
Habitat: Very steep, damp moss-lichen covered CLOUD FOREST of large shrubs and stunted small trees with mostly evergreen leaves (a secondary community heavily disturbed by grazing & cutting) now being converted to field ( 55° slope !). With Embotrium grandiflorum (Proteaceae) Gaultheria brachybotrys, Eupatorium spp., Baccharis buxifolia, etc.
